I did this painting from the Wan Chai Ferry Pier. It was done on handmade drawing paper (300lb) that soaked up a lot of water. The paper never did dry the whole time I worked on it. My pencil gouged it pretty bad since it was so soggy, so I used a 8mm waterproof pen instead. The painting took about 30 minutes to complete.

I drew a crowd while painting today. This is unusual for HK. A couple people took pictures of me. One man stopped to talk and it ends up he was a painter from HK and studied at the Academy of Art, Guongou. I was impressed with the attention I got and now plan to bring a tip hat with me.
