Today I did make it to the Wan Chai Cemetery. But to my surprise, it is an Islamic cemetery. And it shares a border with the Sikh Temple. So let’s see how ethnic Hong Kong is: I’m a western person in China sitting in a Muslim cemetery drawing a Sikh temple. I think that covers almost every demographic. And I have to say that this was one of the most difficult drawings yet. The smell of curry coming from the temple had me jumping up from my seat more than once. It’s too bad this blog doesn’t have a “scratch and sniff” function. There is no doubt in mind what I’m having for lunch. 😉

I enjoyed the warning signs at the entrance to the cemetery also. Especially the one that said “beware of snakes”. I’ll definitely keep an eye out.

Dear Sir i have visited Hongkong and went to the Sikh Temple.
It does make a good Cosmo Place .
But your mentioning the sikh temple as a Hindu place is wrong .
    Sikhs are not Hindu’s.
It some times creates confusion in people’s minds .
    Thank you

Dear Mr. Singh, Thanks for the correction. I appreciate you taking the time out to contact me. I’ve revised the post in hope for less confusion in the world and offer this link to anyone interested in learning more about Sikhism, including myself :).
