The weather last night took an unexpected turn for the better. I woke up to clear blue skies, light puffy clouds and a dry breeze keeping the bugs off. This was a sign. I grabbed my sign painting brushes and went to work.
Today I laid a second coat of purple to the background to give it some dimension. I also decided to correct some colors that were too hot or dark. Much of the work remaining involves pin-striping and painting all the windows in. The final touch will be the signs over the market places and laundry hanging from some windows. Should be fun. Almost there.
Below is another copy of the original paint elevation for reference. I carry the original wrapped in plastic sheet while I paint. This way I can do color matching right on the painting.
