Today was to be overcast and cold. I thought that I should hang out at the art museum, but since it wasn’t raining I stayed outside. The Mr. Brain Wash exhibition is going on at the Opera Gallery in Central, so I headed that way.
This drawing was done above Hollywood Road on the Mid-Level escalator overlooking the old police station. I was here two weeks ago drawing this building from the East side. The escalator is a good place to draw from, but security won’t let you sit down. No harm in standing. I just won’t take as long to finish up.
Next stop: Mr. Brain Wash. Well, what can I say that hasn’t been said better by Banksy in his documentary? Not much. So I’ll leave it at that. Mainly I went to get a souvenir postcard for a friend. To my dismay they only had very well printed catalogs to drag home. I’ll just tear out the pages I need so I won’t have to carry too much weight with me.
There is a lot of daylight left today. Think I’ll go lounge around on the beach for awhile. Happy Spring.
