Happy New Year and prosperous year of the Rabbit. Kung Hei! Kung Hei!
Well, I survived skiing in the DMZ of South Korea as well as the first 2 days of Chinese New Year. But, if I eat any more I’ll pop. My body is running almost entirely on chocolate and cookies with a strong dose of coffee (to stay in balance). Tonight is the big fireworks display, so I’ll lay off the coffee for a bit and try to nap later. 🙂
This morning I got up early to draw this picture of Big Wave Bay from the village parking lot. I’ve always liked this cropped view as I walked home. I say cropped because if you look to the left, right and down there is a lot of construction debris and trash piled around the village garbage collection area. But, with winds from the east and the sun to my back, it made for a pleasant 2 hours listening to music and drawing.
I found this poster wall papered to a junction box in Central District 2 days ago on my way home from work. First I’ve seen of this style of graffiti in HK. It’s signed “Hand One”, so I’ll keep an eye out for more.
