Mong Lung St. Meat Market

Another chilly and overcast day. I prepared ahead of time by dressing warm in 2 shirts, a hoodie and my denim jacket. This was worked great for sitting still on a street corner for an hour, but did little for my flexibility when it came to trying to draw. I decided to suffer for my art and took off the jacket and rolled up my sleeves. To rub salt in my self inflicted discomfort I bought a large ice coffee.Ahhhh…. now I’m ready to draw 🙂

This is one of many butchers in the area, but the only one that has room enough to sit without getting run down by shoppers who are in no mood for someone blocking the sidewalk. Rule 1: Know your audience (and stay out of their way). I spent a few moments to talk to some people who stopped to watch me draw. Met a fellow creative planet dweller who had dyed every part of their white dog a different color: one ear red, the other purple, a green tail…… should have got a picture. I’ll go back and see if they are out walking and get a photo then.
