Besides drawing in my large sketch book, I also carry a small 5×8 sketchbook and .08mm pen with me everywhere. I do ink drawings while I wait for my watercolors to dry. Or, I just crank out a drawing while waiting for the bus or whatever. Here are 3 I did in the last couple of weeks.

You will recognize the Shau Kei Wan drawing as it’s from the same spot as the painting I did last week. Tin Hau was drawn from the pedestrian bridge at the main Library at Victoria Park. And the Marble Rd. drawing was done from the steps of the MTR entrance. These drawings take about 3-5 minutes to complete and are great to get a quick idea of what’s going on before the bus pulls up.

The main reason I’m posting pictures from the last two weeks is that I started working full time today at my freelance set design job. Wearing a suit and combing my hair threw me off a little, so I didn’t get out to the streets to draw today :o) I’ll be getting up an hour early to get my personal work done for this blog before I go into the office from now on. So expect a few pictures of people eating noodles with their coffee until next week Friday ;p (slurp)

Hi Asrai, thanks for taking a moment to see what I’m doing. It’s always a little humbling to have someone bother to make a comment. Enjoy Key West. I have found that going somewhere to draw and paint is the fastest way to meet people with similar interests. Happy painting.
