bwb-creek

This is a drawing of the small creek that runs through the village. I originates from well up in the valley from rain run-off. Right now it’s only 6″ deep or so, but this summer it ran very fast and deep.  From my kitchen window I can see the creek a few yards away. After a good rain it sounds like traffic coming down the interstate at a loud roar. This particular drawing was done about 100 yards down from my house. The air is much cleaner in my village and the crap I was breathing in Sheung Wan yesterday is coming back to haunt me. I’ve go a nagging cough now and feeling blah. I like the drawing though and met several people new to me in the village as they were going home. Maybe diplomats all over the world should have to sit in the middle of foreign towns and sketch. It is working wonders for me getting to understand and appreciate Hong Kong. Left-overs for lunch. Spanish rice and Cuban roast pork. No complaints.
