I started off this morning in Wan Chai. This painting of a pawn shop was done near the street market. I had a good time painting and enjoyed talking to people, but the painting didn’t really turn out. I need to work harder at sketching with my water colors. It also didn’t help that I forgot my paint tray and had to work with the tubes I had packed away last week. The wind is also strong today as a cold front is coming in. It is going to get down to a frosty 15c tonight (60f). brrrrrrr……
After a lunch of fish curry I went to Tai Koo and did this drawing of Ming Kee’s fast food place and the illegal street hawkers. The police arrived before I finished and the streets immediately cleared. It is amazing to see people running with so much stuff on their backs. But besides that, I spoke to very few people here because everyone is too busy chasing money to see what is going on around them.
I will be working freelance for the next two weeks and won’t be able to put in as much time drawing as I would like. Got to go chase that money 😉
