
This painting is of Cape Collinson Road Village nestled directly up against the wall of the cemetary. There only seems to be about 6 or 7 “houses” here. It’s a very quiet street for Hong Kong as most of the traffic here is for people visiting the graves and a few joggers. Across the street are stone workers shops. They seem to be doing a good business and I saw about 15 people carving full time. Next time I come back I hope to draw the workers. The Chai Wan sky line is a beautiful contrast to these little shops. I encourage you to use the street view in the map below.
